Come spend four wonderful days on the Central California Coast with the talented Esterita Austin.
This original technique quilting workshop utilizes fusible web to transfer your original painted imagery to Organza using metallic acrylic textile paints. You will be able to create a completely new and unique form of art quilt. This process is unlike any other printing process, it is not a reverse process… what you see is what you get. This makes it a breeze to incorporate the written word and numbers into your imagery or to segue into abstraction.
Bring 16 x 20” glossy photo quality print of a close up of a favorite place, façade, architecture, or interesting still life for inspiration and interpretation. This is a technique at which anyone can succeed. If you’ve never painted before…you can! Free your creative muse with this new and innovative technique.
Photos: To ensure success, please email Esterita your digital image before class for input on subject matter and to help pick the best image before printing. Please refer to the student example page on her website for examples of subject matter.
It’s better not to bring people or pets as subject matter please.
